Two series of tachogenerators,LDG and MDG, are available for use either with M series tachometers or as a source of a.c Voltage for speed control applications

LIGHT DUTY TACHOGENERATORS (CODE LDG)

The LDG series are brushless 3-phase generators using permanent magnet rotors supported by ball-race bearings.

The RMS output voltage is directly proportional to the rotational speed of the drive shaft, irrespective of the direction of rotation.

The tachogenerators are available in three mechanical drive configurations:

LDG1-1

3-hole flange mounting, direct drive onto generator shaft.

1 Volt per 100 RPM

LDG1-1 + LDG121

Bracket (Pedestal) mounting, direct drive onto generator shaft.

1 Volt per 100 RPM

(Bracket kit LDG121).

LDG3-1

Bracket (Pedestal) mounting, flexible drive cable to slot in generator shaft.

1 Volt per 100 RPM

(Bracket kit LDG131)

MEDIUM DUTY TACHOGENERATORS (CODE MDG)

The MDG series of tachogenerators is designed to withstand more rigorous conditions than the LDG series.

The output of these generators is single phase A.C. up to 60 Volts r.m.s.

Current: 15 mA

Recommended cable: 3 / 0.029 T.R.S. or P.V.C. industrial 3-core.

Terminations:  2BA screw terminals. Access through gasketed cover with 5/8 x18 t.p.i. conduit entry.

Environmental: Weatherproof and unaffected by external ferrous materials

Temperature range: - 40 to +120 degrees Celsius
