This type of torque transmission incorporating ferromagnetic powder has been well proven as a means of effective control. It combines the advantages of fluid coupling with the high engagement efficiency of friction coupling.

A particular feature is that even performing severe duties, wear is negligible. The specially alloyed ferromagnetic powder has excellent wear resisting properties greatly extending service and maintenance life as compared with normal friction type clutches.
